I offer Consultation for licensed and associate licensed therapists.  Consultation can be formal (toward licensure), informal, or as needed (such as for an ethical bind, when you are feeling stumped, or just to make sure you are on track with your cases).  If you would want me to eventually sign papers recommending you for licensure or EMDR Certification, I expect video, transcripts, and/or in-person demonstration of your skills.

I primarily work with adults or late teens utilizing CBT, DBT, and EMDR therapies.  I love to treat panic and anxiety, depression, bipolar, ADD/ADHD, codependency, dissociation, complex/developmental trauma, and single incident or acute trauma.

Rates:

  • Individual Consultation for pre-licensed Mental Health professional 50 min session- $75
  • Individual Consultation for licensed professional- 50 min session- $110

Payments for services can be cash, check, and credit cards.  Consultation services can also be paid via Venmo.

EMDR Consultation

I offer general consulting using EMDR as well as toward EMDRIA Certification.

In order to qualify for Certification, you must have a certificate verifying you have completed Level 1 and Level 2 of an EMDRIA sponsored EMDR Training.  This means you have already fulfilled the first 10 hours of consultation certifying completion of EMDR Basic training.

EMDRIA requires 20 hours of consultation as part of the Certification process.  I am able to provide all of those consultation hours either through individual, group, or a combination.

Here are some of the things we can cover in individual and group EMDR consultations:

  • How to pick a target
  • How to know when clients are ready for trauma processing
  • The assessment phase- how to explain EMDR and incorporating DES, MID, PCL-5, ACE, resourcing/RDI
  • Cautions for EMDR
  • Clinical Interweaves
  • Closure/resuming after incomplete target sessions
  • Sample forms to keep an EMDR chart organized:  paperwork for finding targets, therapy notes, incomplete session, case conceptualization and planning, etc.
  • Do I really know the 8 phases and its purposes, AIP, 3-pronged approach?
  • Window of Tolerance, Hypo vs hyperarousal and what to do, Grounding tools
  • Using Meeting Place or Dissociative Table with Dissociative Clients
  • How to titrate or fractionate EMDR to prevent overwhelm (like using CIPOS, Tip of the Finger, Flash, EMD, etc.)
  • Beyond the basics skills such as CIPOS, Level of Urge to Avoid, Back of Head Scale, Loving Eyes, Two Handed Interweave, Somatic techniques, etc.

EMDR Consultation Rates:

  • Individual Consultation - 50 min session- $110
  • Group (2 or more) consultation- $65-75 per group
  • Consultation for CIT (Consultant in Training) - $125
